Overview

Only the best phone ever made. Someday when I get more time, I want to start developing apps for it. tmobile_g1.jpg

Current Firmware

I currently have rooted my phone and run JF 1.5 (Cupcake) from here, http://jf.andblogs.net/2009/05/01/when-is-your-15-coming-out/ and I love it. So much faster and more stable. I didn't spend the money on a dev phone, so this flashes the (ADP) dev firmware making my phone a dev phone. With JF patch of the offical firmware, it works just like the consumer version. I might move over to the office OTA release one JF has rooted it. I can't live without Tether.

Favorite App List

  • Advanced Task Manager
  • Amazon MP3
  • IP Cam Viewer (watch web cams from the phone.)
  • Exact Call Log
  • K-9 (I have a love/hate relationship with this app. )
  • IO Safe
  • Wifi Tether for Root Users
  • StreamFurious Pro
  • Astro (best file manager)
  • AK Notepad
  • Connect Bot
  • androidVNC

DI.FM Gold and StreamFurious Pro

How to add your paid subscription channels on http://di.fm to StreamFurious Pro

  1. Goto http://di.fm and login to your account.
  2. Press and hold on the little 256k or 128k "winamp" stream link and select "Copy link URL"
  3. Go into StreamFurious Pro
  4. Press Menu and Select More
  5. Click "Add Custom URL"
  6. Longpress on the url box and select Paste.
  7. Press Go. It will download info about the stream and then add it to the list.

Install the Amazon MP3 store on JF1.5 ADP.

The ADP do not have the Amazon MP3 store (or the IM app) but it can be added easily. Download the JF 1.41 release and extract the amazon.mp3.apk from the update.zip file. Copy this file to the SD card. Then use Astro to install the apk.
